A PRODIGIOUS HISTORY & A CLEAR VISION

Renauld is a luxury heritage brand founded in the 1960s, with a prodigious history steeped in the silver screen, motor racing and music halls of fame.  Our mission is simple: to rebuild, celebrate and share our history with you whilst remaining relevant today. Each and every one of our sunglasses has stood the test of time, they have a life story of their own that evokes a bygone era of quality over quantity. This is a principal we stand by.  We believe that the craft, care and attention put into luxury pieces today should be just as special as it was in days gone by.

Delving into our rich archives, we thoughtfully reimagine designs that carry with them a narrative and provenance connected to extraordinary high profile figures in history, who themselves wore Renauld.  We also curate select designs inspired by an ‘icon’ or a ‘moment-in-time’ that capture the essence of Renauld. Heritage, style, timelessness and quality and, of course, a little nod toward the magic of the Riviera and transatlantic glamour.

We believe in doing things properly with meaning and integrity. This takes time and consideration.  Each pair of our sunglasses is a limited edition piece, crafted carefully by hand to exacting standards by the Renauld Studio in Italy.

a RETURN TO old-school luxury

Each pair of sunglasses has its own individual serial number engraved into the temple and is accompanied by a signed certificate of authentication, presented in a beautiful bespoke handmade leather case that smells and feels like old-school luxury.

SPECIAL EDITIONS

Sometimes, we will include an actual documented keepsake from one of our high-profile figures in our collections, including amongst others; Steve McQueen, Elvis Presley and James Dean. Each keepsake has been sympathetically removed and lovingly encased in the Renauld Marque, housed in the frame or temple tip of the sunglasses.  As this memorabilia is finite in nature, the sunglasses are extremely collectible.  As such, Renauld sunglasses are the first sunglasses to house ValueBond.  ValueBond is a pioneering way of establishing authentication and verification of each of our sunglasses*, with and without a keepsake, using an NFC chip encased in the sunglasses temple tip.  It also permits gateway access to exclusive Renauld content including VIP podcasts to inspire and educate.  *Available with select Renauld sunglasses.  Exclusive to Apple (at present)

Heritage that stands the test of time

Allow us to take you back to 1969, when our Rossano sunglasses were immortalised in the opening scene of The Italian Job. Picture if you will the orange Lamborghini Miura as it winds its way around the Great St Bernard Pass, actor Rossano Brazzi sitting coolly at the wheel in his iconic wraparound Renaulds, with Mat Monroe’s Days Like These providing the effortlessly chic soundtrack.  Imagine Sean Connery wearing his Renauld Sixty-Ones during the making of the James Bond film Goldfinger; Jackie Onassis, headscarf and Renaulds, aboard a Rivera yacht; Liz Taylor in her Renauld Continentals and diamonds; and Elvis Presley bartering with a stylish fan for his pair of Renauld Sixty-One sunglasses.
