ELVIS BY RENAULD
Renauld launched its first collection in 1961, rapidly becoming a love mark of high profile figures in Hollywood and the music industry. Elvis was one of the first to wear Renauld in the Spring of 1961 while filming Follow That Dream in Ocala, Florida.
The story has been told that Elvis wanted to purchase a pair of the new, contemporary wraparounds and sent his security to buy them. They returned to say they were sold out. He later spotted someone wearing the exact model in a crowd of fans seeking his autograph. After a brief negotiation between the owner and his security guard, the sunglasses changed hands for $100.
Elvis wore them for at least the next two years, with the sunglasses becoming a signature part of his wardrobe. It wasn’t long before the Renauld Sixty-Ones became the iconic sunglasses of the decade. Recently several new images have surfaced of Elvis wearing Renauld sunglasses at various filming locations and events.
After an absence of 40 years, we couldn’t think of a better way to re-introduce the Sixty-One than by partnering with the Elvis Presley Estate in customising our original, distinct legacy sunglasses.

THE ELVIS TUPELO
The Elvis Tupelo, named after the birthplace of Elvis, are based on the original Sixty-Ones that Elvis wore during filming. The sunglasses are crafted from cool chrome and UV400 DIVEL anti-glare grey lenses, engraved with Elvis’s signature on the temple arm and lens. Each model is individually numbered and is presented with a certificate of authentication from Renauld.
THE ELVIS TUPELO SPECIAL
The Elvis Tupelo Special houses an authenticated piece of Elvis Presley’s shirt within the Renauld Keepsake Marque on the lens of the sunglasses. This patented precision design engineering seamlessly integrates a transparent, micro-thin, vacuum sealed Keepsake compartment into the aerodynamic, curved polymer lens. The Renauld Keepsake Marque carries a unique emotional narrative that pays tribute to the combined heritage of Elvis and Renauld.

The Elvis Memphis houses an authenticated piece of Elvis Presley’s shirt in the Renauld Keepsake Marque.

The Elvis by Renauld Collection is available with either a 41mm or 45mm depth lens and is crafted by hand in the Renauld Studio in Italy.
Sunglasses are presented in a bespoke handmade leather case featuring the Elvis logo and artist’s signature and are encased in an Elvis limited edition giftbox.
Elvis Presley was not the only early adopter of the original Renauld sunglasses.
