A reimagined favourite of McQueen’s; these unique and distinctive sunglasses capture the essence of the King of Cool’s style: effortless, timeless and distinct.
Working closely with McQueen’s family and the Steve McQueen Estate we have been able to faithfully re-craft a strictly limited edition collection of Steve’s iconic 1970 sunglasses, worn by Steve during the making of Le Mans. The sunglasses are synonymous with motor racing glamour and Hollywood style and remain inextricably linked to McQueen through their design and emotional equity. During privileged meetings with the McQueen family, Renauld was given exclusive access to McQueen’s personal racing memorabilia including the Porsche 911S that was bought by McQueen after completing the film and is an exact replica of the car he used in Le Mans.
The Steve McQueen Le Mans by Renauld has been an incredibly personal project for all involved.
Renauld would like to thank Chad, Chase and Madison for their time and generosity in sharing stories, intimate family photographs and personal belongings of Steve.
The passion for automotive vehicles and racing is in the blood of the McQueens. As a young child, Chad fuelled his ambition to become a racing driver watching his father race. Chad went on to compete in several categories of racing, winning and qualifying in many events including Daytona Speedway and also racing Porsche’s.

This limited edition sunglasses collection is comprised of two models: The Car 20 and The Steve McQueen® Le Mans® and is strictly limited to 350 pieces for this season.
Steve McQueen® THE CAR 20
This highly collectable pair of sunglasses houses an authenticated part of McQueen’s own Porsche 917 race number 20 encased in the Renauld Keepsake Marque, embedded in the sunglasses temple.
This precious Keepsake is part of the original bodywork from McQueen’s own car and was presented to Renauld by Chad, Chase and Madison McQueen at their family home in Palm Springs. These unique and distinctive sunglasses capture the essence of the King of Cool’s style: effortless, timeless, yet distinct. The slim metal frame and slightly rounded rectangular shape is reminiscent of the 1970s but equally applicable and contemporary for today.
