Renauld is proud to launch the Chapman Collection, a limited-edition sunglasses line created in partnership with Classic Team Lotus, celebrating the extraordinary legacy of Colin Chapman - pioneering engineer, racing innovator, and founder of Team Lotus.

Chapman’s vision changed the face of Formula One. Known for his mantra “there’s nothing lighter than a hole,” his cars were admired for their simplicity, elegance, and innovation. Throughout the 1960s and ’70s, Team Lotus dominated the grid, with legendary drivers like Jim Clark, Mario Andretti, and Emerson Fittipaldi behind the wheel.

Inspired by the sunglasses Colin wore during the 1973 F1 season, this design incorporates signature weight-saving holes in the temples — a nod to Chapman’s purest design principle.

The Chapman Victory

A tribute to the iconic black hat Chapman famously threw skyward after each victory — each pair includes an authenticated part of a hat button from the Chapman Family archive.

Crafted in Italy from the finest materials including 24ct gold plate, Palladium, and jet-black acetate, each pair includes a bespoke leather case in Team Lotus colours, Chapman’s ACBC monogram, and an embedded NFC chip for digital authentication.
