JIM CLARK PALLADIUM SIXTY-ONE - Type 38

Renauld and Classic Team Lotus are proud to announce a collaboration with the Jim Clark Trust to produce the limited-edition, ‘Jim Clark Sixty-One’ sunglass.

The ‘Type 25’ model was the Lotus that Jim Clark won the F1 World Championship in 1963 and 1965. The Jim Clark Type 25 sunglass is handcrafted from 24ct yellow gold plate with a grey/blue lens which features the Team Lotus badge. It is accompanied with a bespoke, handstitched green leather case embossed with a distinctive silhouette of the winning car and Jim’s signature.

Jim Clarke is arguably one of the best motor racing drivers of all time and throughout the sixties he was an enthusiastic fan of Renauld, choosing to wear the sunglasses at many Grand Prix’s due to Renauld’s uninterrupted 180-degree visibility.

Based on the two Lotus Types ‘25’ and 38’ that Jim took to the checkered flag, we have collaborated with Classic Team Lotus and the Jim Clark Trust, in customising the Jim Clark edition of the Sixty-One, designing a bespoke, handstitched leather case to accompany each design.

The Type 38 was the Lotus that Jim famously drove to victory in the 1965 Indy 500. The Type 38 Renauld Sunglass is handcrafted from plated Palladium with a green lens which features the Team Lotus badge. It is accompanied with a bespoke, handstitched leather case embossed with the winning lotus and Jim’s signature. Each sunglass is presented with a Renauld certificate of authenticity and Classic Team Lotus and Jim Clark commemorative booklet.
