JIM CLARK PALLADIUM SIXTY-ONE - Type 38
Jim Clark, OBE, was a legendary Scottish racing driver celebrated for his extraordinary talent, humility, and sportsmanship. A two-time Formula One World Champion, Clark remains one of the most revered figures in motorsport history.
Jim Clark and the Sixty One™
Throughout the 1960s, Clark was frequently seen wearing the iconic Renauld Sixty One™ sunglasses. Known for their uninterrupted 180-degree field of vision, these glasses became a signature hallmark of his trackside attire, offering both performance and timeless style at Grand Prix and other racing events.
To honour Jim Clark's enduring legacy, Renauld has partnered with Classic Team Lotus and the Jim Clark Trust to create several limited edition collections celebrating the legendary pairing in Formula One between Jim Clark and Team Lotus.
The Type 38™ - Celebrating the Indy 500 Victory
This model honours Clark’s victory at the Indianapolis 500 in the Lotus Type 38. Jim dominated the world’s greatest race and became the first to win with a rear-engined car. The sunglasses are hand-assembled from plated palladium and fitted with green lenses, bearing the Team Lotus badge.
Accompanied by a bespoke handmade Type 38™ leather case embossed with the winning Lotus, Jim’s signature and presentation box.
